DUNDEE 0 ABERDEEN 2

In the Dark Blues’ final game of the season, a brace from Scott Wright secured the points against a Dundee side that featured David Mitchell, Kosta Gadzhalov, Danny Williams and Henrik Ojamaa.

Aberdeen’s Dean Campbell brought a save out of Mitchell after 10 minutes and the Dens stopper then denied Chris Antoniazzi.

Ojamaa had the Dee’s first real chance after 24 minutes but his volley was saved by David Craddock and, 60 seconds later, the Dons took the lead.

Reigan Thomson bundled Connor McLennan over inside the penalty area and Wright stepped up to send Mitchell the wrong way.

The Dons had a golden opportunity to double their lead three minutes later, but Antoniazzi was denied by Mitchell before he sent a half-volley off target.

With two minutes of the first half left, the Dons did get their second. The ball broke to Wright and the winger made no mistake as he rifled the ball home from 15 yards.

Dundee’s best chance of the match fell to Ojamaa just before the hour mark.

The striker was sent in one-onone against Craddock, but he didn’t connect with his shot and the goalkeeper collected.

Mitchell had to be at his best late on to push away Bruce Anderson’s curling effort.
