Angus football clubs hoping to hear the whirr of rotor blades
Forfar and Arbroath both in contention for traditional league trophy delivery
A trophy-bearing helicopter may buzz over Angus today as two local football clubs hope to win a league title 170 miles apart.
Arbroath FC and Forfar Athletic are sitting first and second in the Ladbrokes League 2 with one game left to decide who wins the title.
And in what has become a Scottish football tradition the trophy will be delivered by helicopter.
High-flying Forfar had their one-point advantage reversed last weekend with a 1-1 draw away to bottom club Cowdenbeath.
At the same time, a Ryan McCord hat-trick helped Arbroath edge Elgin City 3-2 at Gayfield.

Forfar must beat Annan Athletic at Station Park and hope the Red Lichties slip up.
The SPFL has booked a PDG helicopter, based at Cumbernauld Airport, which will travel with the trophy to Perth.
As soon as the eventual winners are confirmed it will then be delivered to the triumphant team and presented to them in front of their supporters.
Arbroath boss Dick Campbell said: “I’ve been in the dugout for over 1,250 games – that’s why I’ve got no hair.
“Days like Saturday are what drives you on and keeps you motivated.”
