LETHAM: Letham Village Hall will hold car boot sales from 10am to 2pm on the first Saturday of every month up to and including October.

Catering stalls will not be permitted, but refreshmen­ts are available and pitches are on a first come, first served basis.

Outdoor pitches are £8, with indoor pitches £10. All funds raised will be in aid of the hall improvemen­t fund.

ARBROATH: A Christian Aid Week coffee morning will be held in the Town Mission on Saturday May 20 from 10am to noon.

Tickets are £1.50 on the door and there will be the usual stalls. Goods can be brought to the Town Mission either on the Friday, from 7.30pm to 9pm, or at 9am on Saturday.

The Christian Aid collection held at Tesco Arbroath on April 21 raised £218.

KIRRIEMUIR: Marion Hood gave a talk to Kirriemuir Probus Club on Lippen Care.

Douglas Loomes gave the vote of thanks.

The next meeting is on May 17 when Helen Henderson will talk on New Dawn House, Nepal.

PLANTS: The Angus branch of the National Trust for Scotland will hold a plant sale at the House of Dun on Sunday from 1.30 to 3.30pm.

The sale will be held on a grassed area just outside the courtyard.

There will be some produce as well as assorted perennials, shrubs and fruit bushes.
