Fife Flyers yesterday promised news soon on signings for next season.

Bosses confirmed that they are working towards putting a competitive team on the ice and apologised to success-hungry fans for the delay in providing information on the up-coming campaign.

In a statement, the club confirmed that, after lengthy talks with the Elite League and internal discussions, that they will take part again.

A spokesman added: “The reasons for the delay and the lengthy talks centred around the proposed format for the forthcoming season which was only decided in late April as well as the financial consequences that competing at Elite League level will have on the team in the long term.

“We have looked at various formats and approaches to create a business plan that is sustainable for the team in Fife. Due to the increased costs that come with competing in this league we had to be confident that it would be sustainable for the season ahead and the foreseeable future.”

Chiefs confirmed that they are looking at the season ticket options for the season given the new league/conference/cup format and will announce the details as soon as possible.

Previous season ticket holders will have first refusal on their previous seats before they are released on general sale.

Dundee Stars, who will also be icing in the Elite League next season, have announced their season ticket plans.

The tickets, which are on sale now and include 28 home league games and three Challenge Cup Group fixtures, are priced: adult £495, concession £350, child: £245, family (2x2) £995.
