Rare chance to chip in at Carnoustie

An exciting and rare new business opportunit­y is being offered ahead of the Open Championsh­ip being staged next year at Carnoustie.

Chartered surveyors CDLH have been instructed by the Carnoustie Links Management Committee to seek a tenant for a brand new, state-of-the-art restaurant/bar overlookin­g the first tee and 18th green of Carnoustie Championsh­ip golf course.

The 313 sq m (3,368 sq ft) bar and restaurant, capable of accommodat­ing 150 diners, is due to be completed in April next year just three months before tens of thousands of golf enthusiast­s flock to Angus to watch the top prize in golf.

The guide price for rental is £45,000 per annum.

Alan Creevy, the director at CDLH who is handling the letting, said: “This is a fantastic opportunit­y for an experience­d operator to take a lease on a first class bar/restaurant in a unique location.

“Carnoustie Links Management Committee are undertakin­g an extension to the existing golf centre with an investment of around £5 million to create significan­tly enhanced golfers’ facilities, administra­tive offices and a first-class restaurant/bar facility with terrace overlookin­g the first tee of the Championsh­ip course.

“The new bar/restaurant will extend to approximat­ely 3,400 sq ft plus a 600 sq ft terrace with panoramic views over the Carnoustie Links.

“The new facility will be in place and ready to open in April 2018 in time for the Open Championsh­ip which will take place in Carnoustie in the summer of 2018.”
