Frank Skinner on Muhammad Ali (BBC1, 9pm-10pm)

Last year, millions of fans around the world mourned the passing of Muhammad Ali whose fame and charisma transcende­d boxing. One of those who grieved him was comedian Frank Skinner, who now gets a chance to pay tribute to his idol with this documentar­y. Skinner travels across the UK and the US to visit some of the key locations and people in Ali’s life, from the next-door neighbour from Louisville, Kentucky, who witnessed the teenage boxer’s dedication to his craft, and a bare-knuckle fighter on an Oxfordshir­e council estate who became one of the American’s dearest friends.

Kat and Alfie: Redwater (BBC1, 8pm-9pm)

The Moons’ search takes a positive turn this week as Kathleen finally meets her son. But will this be the happy-ever-after she has been hoping for? Elsewhere, Agnes organises a memorial barbecue, although she is not happy when the Moons show their faces, while Eileen comes to realise how much she and Kieran are missing in America.

Catching a Killer (Channel 4, 9pm-10.45pm)

In the wake of Philip’s death, Paula notices some things missing from her home and wonders whether James was somehow involved. Mac’s superior is determined to believe it was suicide, so the detective starts digging into James’s past - while the handyman himself is struggling to cope with living with two warring women.

The Supervet (Channel 4, 8pm-9pm)

Documentar­y following the work of pioneering veterinary surgeon Noel Fitzpatric­k and his team. A man travels through the night to bring his much-loved doberman down from Cumbria to see Noel Fitzpatric­k about a diseased spinal cord. Can the professor and his staff bring the canine back to health?

Paula (BBC2, 9pm-10pm)

When Natalie Hemming’s mother phoned the police to report the fact that her daughter hadn’t been seen in 48 hours, she was asked if there was a particular reason for her concern. She gave a short answer: ‘Him’. This documentar­y follows what became one of Thames Valley Police’s biggest missing person searches.
