Round-O-Five community event
Arbroath residents will get the opportunity to discuss issues that concern them and talk about what they would like to see in their area today.
Led by community group Round-O-Five, the over-50s event, taking place at Arbroath Community Centre, is also an opportunity to hear about what other groups are doing and what support is already available.
More than 30 community groups will be taking part in the event as well as a nursery selling plants.
Free refreshments, including tea, coffee and cakes, will be available and guests can help plant the raised bed outside the community centre.
Round-O-Five is a community group, funded by Royal Voluntary Service as part of the Local People project in Arbroath.
It is funded by People’s Health Trust using money raised through The Health Lottery.
The group works to support older people in the area to identify and address the issues that affect them – whether this is transport, communication or having nowhere to enjoy their hobbies.
Grant Hutchison, community engagement worker for Royal Voluntary Service, said: “We are looking to gain ideas on what people want for the area, what the problems are and how we can help.”
The community centre event takes place between 12.30pm and 3.30pm.
