Jamie wins in Stuttgart

Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares won the Mercedes Cup doubles title in Stuttgart, with a 6-7 7-5 10-5 victory over Oliver Marach and Mate Pavic in the final.

The Scottish-Brazilian partnership, seeded second, beat the number four seeds for their second title of the year.

Murray, 31, who has 18 titles to his name, told the ATP Tour website: “We had a few close losses this year and it was nice to see it through and get it over the line and get another trophy.”

He and Soares won both the Australian and US Open titles last year.
