Carers cash charity walkers brave howling gales and rain

-

Charity walkers braved howling gales and torrential downpours to raise money for young carers in Dundee.

The Rotary Club of Claverhouse trekked out on their annual Twin Peaks challenge, which saw members yomp a whopping 43 miles in a single day, from Glen Doll to Camperdown Park.

The group raised £4,000 for Dundee Young Carers, which provides practical and emotional support and training to better equip young people tasked with looking after ill relatives, on top of their own education or employment.

Taking in Munros Dreich and Mayar, the walk was completed in atrocious weather and presented all walkers with a real challenge.
