Rovers star linked with Pars
Courier Sport understands that Dunfermline are looking to sign Ross Callachan from Fife neighbours Raith Rovers, writes Neil Robertson.
The 23-year-old midfielder is a product of the Kirkcaldy club’s youth system and is one of the most promising players at Stark’s Park.
Callachan played 37 times for Raith last season before his campaign was cut short in April after he broke his arm against Falkirk.
He signed a contract extension last year to keep him at the club until June, 2018, in a move then boss Gary Locke described as a “major coup”. At the time he put pen to paper on the new contract, there was understood to be interest in the player from clubs in the Scottish Premiership as well as down south.
Now though with Rovers set to play in League 1 this season, Championship side Dunfermline are looking to bring him to East End Park.
The Pars have looked to Raith already this summer to bolster their squad with the capture of out-ofcontract defender Jean-Yves M’voto.
