Rotary club president Paula Elvin ended her year in office by handing over the chain to successor Bill Reid.

ROCK CHALLENGE

Arbroath High School will be competing in the Northern Premier Final at Grimsby Auditorium tomorrow.

They hope to retain the title they won in 2016.

They showcased their piece, Mercy, in Dundee.

SUMMER CLUB

Redwings Mountain horse sanctuary at Milton of Ogil is staging a summer club for youngsters aged 7 to 11 during the school holidays.

From Friday July 7 the Glenogil facility will host the free weekly event.

Each 45-minute session will offer activities to show how it looks after the 100 rescued animals in its care.

ARBROATH

Knox’s and St Vigeans Church will host a nature trail walk from St Vigeans Hall at 1.30pm tomorrow. A monthly service will be held at Cairnie Lodge in Arbroath at 2pm on Thursday.

HEALTH

Heartstart Discovery is running a free two-hour training session in emergency life support in Carnoustie on July 15 from 7 to 9pm.
