Dicky Trisco (Secret Squirrels/Home Taping/Disco Deviance) joins forces with up and coming young blood The Man Called Ben Rothes (Hilltown Disco) for another all night long B2B session at The Reading Rooms.

Dicky brings 10 years’ experience as a RR resident DJ and regularly tours around the world.

While The Man Called Ben Rothes is one of the hottest new selectors in town with a reputation that grows after each after-party and he has also just launched his own record label Hilltown Disco.

Dicky explains: “Ben is a young guy who used to work for us on PR. He then started working on my labels with me and now has set up his own label, Hilltown Disco.

“He is also an up-andcoming DJ who started out playing at after-parties around the town.

“We have done a couple of these events now and each one has been a belter. Something great about when we play together.

“Old guy and young guy. Both Dundee based. No guests. Just us all night long and only the best music with no boundaries. Oh and we have fun.

“I have also just contributed a track to his label called ‘I Heard It Through The Bleeps and Basslines’.

“So the whole thing has come full circle.

“Expect only the best house, Italo, acid and disco tinged bangers.”

Dundee promoters Make That A Take present a cracking bill of punk/rock/ punk-folk at Conroy’s Basement tomorrow.

Italian kick-ass garage punk rock ‘n’ roll legends Cut from Bolonga bring their riotous well-honed punk rock attack to Dundee for the first time as they celebrate 21 years in the business.

Formed in 1996, Cut have spent the last two decades releasing frenetic, energetic nae messin’ garage punk bangers, touring all over the globe and spreading the good word of the healing powers of rock ‘n’ roll.

They’re supported by Arbroath four-piece Third Floor Incident, back in the basement for the first time since supporting Pale Angels back in December.

One of Tayside’s best kept secrets, these troops play infectious pop-punk.

Also on the bill are Dundee indie rock ‘n’ rollers Vflamba and B.Itinerant, whose nomadic acoustic anarcho folk with a punk rock heart comes armed with only an acoustic guitar, some dumpster-dived samosas and one of the biggest hearts in the game.

Doors open at 7pm and it’s a fiver in advance, £6 on the doors.
