FORFAR: A school uniform pop-up shop runs at St Margaret’s Church in Forfar between 10am and noon until tomorrow and then from August 7-12.

Newly laundered, little used and sometimes unused items of uniform are available, all free of charge.

ARBROATH: Knox’s and St Vigeans Church will hold a service at Tarriebank Residentia­l Home, by Marywell, on Sunday at 2.30pm.

INVERBERVI­E: The What’s on Inverbervi­e community shop will move into the Burgh Hall in Farquhar Street on Sunday from noon-8pm then between Monday-Wednesday next week, from 10am-8pm.

Adult and children’s clothes, shoes and accessorie­s will all be on sale and admission is free.

The shop funds local projects such as the OAP lunch club and youth club.

KIRRIEMUIR: Police Scotland is appealing for informatio­n to help trace a woman who may have witnessed a teenager being assaulted.

The alleged incident took place in the Bellies Brae area of Kirriemuir at 2.30pm on Thursday June 1.

The woman came to the assistance of a 16-year-old girl after it was understood she was allegedly assaulted by a 15-year-old boy.

The woman is described as being in her forties, 5ft 6in, with blonde hair, wearing a striped top and a blue puffa-style jacket.

Anyone with any informatio­n should call 101 quoting CR/14651/17.

MONTROSE: Montrose Gordon Town Mission is holding its annual coffee morning in the Old and St Andrew Halls on Saturday July 15 from 10amnoon, with all the usual stalls.

This is the group’s only fundraiser and local support is essential to its continued 153-year existence.

CARNOUSTIE: Arbroath Burns Club president Alan Mowatt and past president Ken Smith presented certificat­es to Carlogie Primary children for their performanc­es of Robert Burns material.

Primary 7 pupil Lucy Telfer was given a silver quaich for best overall performanc­e.
