Perfect putting on beautiful Courier Country doorstep

-

With the Scottish Open just behind us, all eyes will be on Royal Birkdale this weekend as the 146th Open Championship gets under way.

Qualifying for the flagship event continued through the Open Qualifying Series at the Scottish Open at Dundonald with Callum Shinkwin, Matthieu Pavon and Andrew Dodt all gaining last-minute entries to compete for the famous Claret Jug.

Closer to home, players fought it out for the qualification slots available at Courier Country’s own Panmure course back in June and if the great golf on show at the recent Irish and Scottish Open and the Open Championship itself gets you into the mood for a game, there is no better part of the world to pick up a putter.

From the regular Open venues of the Old Course and Carnoustie to the stunning Perthshire golf resort of Gleneagles, Courier Country has so much to offer golfers of every standard.

In St Andrews alone, the seven links courses are complemented by the Duke’s Course, just inland, and the beautiful links along the coast at Kingsbarns, Crail and Elie.

Look to the heart of Fife for a more heathland challenge.

And further north, golfers are no less spoilt for choice in beautiful Angus.

Treat yourself to a round on a hidden gem such as the James Braid-designed heathland course at Kirriemuir.

If links golf is more your thing, head for the coastal challenges at Montrose, Carnoustie or Arbroath for a test of your skill.

In Perthshire, golfers aren’t just restricted to the high-end resort of Gleneagles. Look out for the famous courses at Blairgowrie, or take the time to explore some of the lesser-known courses while enjoying the breathtaking scenery that this part of the world has to offer.

And look out for great value special offers for visiting golfers.
