Dundee Rep looking to nurture next generation of talent
Dundee Rep will be hosting five graduates this year as part of their Graduate Actor Scheme.
Thomas England, Eleanor House, Emma Mullen, Hannah Pauley and Jamie Pritchard will join Dundee Rep’s Ensemble to work on this season’s productions, starting with August: Osage County.
The new apprentices secured their places after a rigorous audition process and are the latest graduates to earn the chance to kick-start their career. Dundee Rep’s Graduate Actor Scheme is a year-long placement giving drama school graduates an opportunity to work in a fast-paced professional environment.
Artistic director Andrew Panton said: “Dundee Rep’s Graduate Actor Scheme is a unique programme which helps graduates make the transition from drama school into the industry.
“We’re able to work with and nurture the next generation of emergent talent as they rehearse and develop alongside our resident acting ensemble.
“I’m very pleased that we’re able to work with a number of recent graduates this year and look forward to welcoming them into the Rep family.”
Four of this year’s graduates come from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, which is ranked in the world’s top three for performing arts education and number one in Scotland for graduate employability.
One graduate has recently finished a course at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, one of the most successful conservatoire drama schools in the UK.
Hannah Pauley graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in July 2017, where she studied the BA musical theatre programme.
