Tale as old as time at the Webster

-

Angus Alive has announced ‘Beauty and the Beast’ as its Christmas pantomime at the Webster Theatre in Arbroath.

The tale as old as time will run from Saturday December 9 until Sunday December 24.

Angus Alive has joined forces with local talent JJ Christine, writer and director of this year’s panto, adding an Angus twist to the well-loved story.

Chris O’Mara will portray the Prince and Beast, supported by wingman and local town Romeo Gastoff, played by Simon Donaldson, whose theatre credits include last year’s Sinbad.

Le Poo, the panto trickster, will be embellished by Chuck Denton, a Got to Dance finalist who regularly treads the boards at Glasgow’s Pavilion Theatre.

Susan Coyle of The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie will deliver the roles of Mrs P/Mother while the Bell of the ball is singer and dancer Claudia Todd.

Tickets are on sale now with an early bird offer available until September 29 with standard price tickets starting at £13 (adult) and concessionary (£11) and a family ticket, for two adults and two children, costs £40 with concessionary rates and school performances available on selected dates.

Tickets can be purchased from the website angusalive.scot/tickets or by calling the box office on 01241 435800.

The 2017 panto follows in the footsteps of last year’s successful production of Sinbad.
