Champion at Doune and Dunblane and Grarantown, and reserve with 18-month-old heifer, Kilmaluag Etta by Retties JFK. Champion at Central and West Fife and reserve female at the Great Yorkshire.

British Blues – Richard Nelson, Cuttlehill Farm, Crossgates, with five-yearold cow, Bonnie Braes Hailey by cow, Luke Royal Lacy by Gitane and reserve with Tweedale Hebony.

Any other breed – L Laird and Sons, Lochhead Farm, East Weymss, with sevenyear-old British Blonde cow, Whitefield Freya by Whistly Dollar. Female champion and reserve breed champion at RHS. Winner of 28 championsh­ips. Reserve – WP & K Wason, Redwells Farm, Kinglassie, with 10-month-old Hereford calf, Saltire 1 Predator by Baldinnie 1 Orient. Male champion and breed reserve at Perth.

Highland – D&B MacNaughto­n, Kelty, with threeyear-old heifer, Skye 5th of Rannoch by Fergus of Isle of Bute. Champion at Fife and Braco, and reserve with yearling heifer, Skye of Little Rannoch by Fearghus of Balmoral. Reserve champion at Braco and reserve female at the national show at Perth.

Cross cattle – Stewart Bett, Newmills Farm, Fallin, with 15-month-old Limousin cross heifer, Third Time Lucky by Noble Freddie. Champion at Drymen.

Reserve – A McGregor, Binn Agricultur­e, Glenfarg, with April-born Charolais cross bullock.

Dairy – J&I Wilson, Carskerdo, Cupar, with fiveyear-old Holstein cow-inmilk , Lieu Thomain Heliot by Eliloz DKR. Calved in January and giving 44 litres.

Reserve – A&S Lawrie, Cuthill Towers, Milnathort, with two-year-old heifer, Cuthill Towers Elpaso Rae by Cuthill Towers Elpaso.

Texel – David McKerrow, Nockary Farm, Freuchie, with a ewe lamb by 30,000gns Knock Yankee, an ET sister to the Yorkshire show champion. Reserve – Robin Orr, Halbeath Farm, Kingseat, with shearling tup, Midlock Yorkie by Devonvale Warrior. First at Yorkshire and Biggar.

Beltex –W S Young and Son, Mawcarse Farm, Milnathort, with home-bred gimmer.

Reserve – Esme Whyte, West Balgothrie, Hollburn, Leslie, with a tup lamb bought from Todhall.

Any other breed – D Soutar, Strathelli­e, Alyth, with a Blue Texel by Millend Yeeha. First at Perth and Kirriemuir.

Reserve – Stan Pollock, Humbie Holdings, Kirknewton, with a two-shear Valais Blacknose tup bought from the Hebridean stud.

Blackface – A& I Cullens, Dollarbank Farm, Dollar, with a gimmer by a £1,800 Gass tup. Reserve – Alister Shaw, West Lethams Farm, Saline, with a three crop ewe by a £700 Nunnerie.

Mules – C&K Malone, Pitcairn Farm, Cardenden, with a ewe lamb by a Nightrider son, and reserve with three ewe lambs off home-bred shearlings. Cross sheep – John Messenger, Ayton Farm, Abernethy, with three homebred Suffolk cross ewes.

Reserve – George Whyte, Pett Farm, Muthill, with three home-bred prime Beltex cross Texel lambs by a Cuiltburn tup.

Shepherds – Charlie Turnbull, Fruix Farm, Kinross, with a Beltex cross Texel.

Reserve – Struan Whyte, Pett Farm, Muthill, with a Beltex cross Texel Cuiltburn-bred tup.

Jacob – Paul Murray, Frington, Cumbria, with a onecrop ewe, Inside Hype Duchess by Inside Hype Dragonfly. Champion at Perth, and her 30th championsh­ip in two years. Reserve – Paul Young with a Linton-bred shearling. Reserve male champion at Perth. Blue Faced Leicester – C&K Malone, Pitcairn Farm, Cardenden, with a tup lamb by Kirkby Redgate Jackpot.

Reserve – Alan McIntyre , Main Street, Glenfarg, with a gimmer by a Roundale tup.

Shetland – Rena Douglas, Cedar Cottage, Craigrothi­e, with a two-shear white ram, Ivydene Patronus by Rigg Gareth. Reserve – Arbuckle & Meikle, Winchburgh, with a coloured shearling, Brae Fhurricane by Howburns Jack. Goats – Campbell Family, The Byres, Brunton Farm, Torphichen, with two-yearold coloured female, Linnavon Edelweiss by

Linnavon Bromeliad. Champion at West Fife and Kelso.
