In September 2015 Auto Services Perth Ltd, a Perth family-run garage business, established over 30 years ago as a fatherand-son partnership, became the only independent garage in Scotland to be an authorised Mercedes-Benz Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) repairer.
They have also recently gained Mercedes-Benz Mobilo Service 24 approval, meaning a Mercedes-Benzqualified technician attends any Mercedes-Benz breakdowns in the area with a fully-equipped service van. The company has decided that to ensure it can attend breakdowns in all weather and road conditions, a 4x4 MercedesBenz Sprinter van is the ideal vehicle.
Company director Stephen Crozier said: “When we became an authorised Mercedes-Benz Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) repairer in September 2015 we realised the next step forward would be to become Mercedes-Benz Mobilo Service 24-approved, as a major part of our business is breakdown/ recovery work, and it would ensure we could offer a roadside service in our area to Mercedes-Benz drivers.”
Also, the company recently attained the Fiat Professional approved repairer status. Stephen said he has been amazed at the amount of Fiat campervans on the roads and pointed out the garage can cope with any size of vehicle.
“Over the last few weeks we have had campervans in from various parts of Europe and have been able to ensure they continue their holiday in Scotland.”
The purpose-built garage facility at Bertha Park View, which opened in 2009, is open from 7am to midnight Monday to Friday and from 9am to 10pm at weekends. The body shop is situated at their secondary site also within Inveralmond Industrial Estate.
Auto Services Perth Ltd deals with over 50 vehicles on a daily basis, with jobs ranging from minor repairs, services, MOTs, major repairs, bodywork and accident recoveries. They service and repair vehicles for SSE, Scottish Water, Ryder, Yodel and Tesco through contracts with the major fleet maintenance companies, as well as offering the same excellent service to any individual customer.
