CARNBEE. Catherine Brunton, president, received a loyalty certificate for more than 50 years’ membership. Reflexologist Myra Hughes gave a talk and demonstration. Patricia Tribble sang songs. KILRY. Season starts Tuesday September 12 in Kilry Hall at 7pm. Speakers will be M Darroch and Elizabeth Bridge – India Experience. Competitions: Indian curry with rice and colourful scarf.
KINLOCH. Season commences next Tuesday in the hall at Kinloch at 7.15pm. Speaker will be Blairgowrie Timebank. Transport can be organised. Phone Elspeth on 876543.
KINROSS SHOW. Themes for community competitions were Birthday Celebration for the handcraft section, and Celebration for the housewife’s section. There were 460 entries. Janie Buchanan was made Kinross Group honorary president and received a badge and certificate from SWI national chairman Linda Retson. KIRKFORTHAR FEUS.

LOGIE PERT. The institute this year celebrates its 90th anniversary. Season starts with a talk by Cambus O’May dairy on September 6 at Craigo Hall, 7.30pm. Competition: cheese straws. Anniversary dinner on October 3. Call 01674 674155.

STRACATHRO. First meeting is next Thursday at 7.30pm. Floral art demonstration. Competitions: raspberry jam and photograph of a garden flower. New members welcome.
