Power tools and lead stolen following raid on Angus home
A number of power tools and a quantity of heavy lead have been stolen from an Angus home.
A garage at a property on North Street, in Newtyle, was broken into between September 7 and 12 with the thieves damaging the garage door before making off with the goods.
The lead flashing would probably have needed two people to carry it and a van to transport it. The property itself is surrounded by hedges and not overlooked by other properties but police believe that the damage to the garage door would have caused a “considerable amount of noise”, possibly alerting neighbours.
