Shameful scene at annual proms

-

Sir, - While watching the last night at the proms on Sunday night I was appalled at what I witnessed.

People in the Albert Hall were waving EU flags.

It was totally rank, crass and inappropriate behaviour and in some part spoiled the spectacle for me.

The proms is a British tradition and never was, and never will be, European. Are there no depths to which the disgruntled Remainers will not sink?

While watching I was aware the cameras were focusing on these people numerous times, this should have never been shown by the BBC, but it does not surprise me.

Auntie has always shown bias in favour of

remain, both before and after the referendum.

I hope lessons will be learned from this and the only flags that should be waved are Union Jacks.

The irony is the EU flags were waved vigorously when Rule Britannia was played.

Indeed, Britain will never be slaves.

Remainers seem to forget that if we had voted Remain, Britain would have remained metaphorically enslaved to the EU. Gordon Kennedy. 117 Simpson Square, Perth.
