MONTROSE

The Friends of William Lamb host their annual fundraisin­g coffee morning at the St Andrew’s and Old Kirk Hall, High Street, Montrose, on Saturday at 10am.

There will be a number of stalls, including books, home baking, bric-a-brac as well as Lamb-themed goods and other gift ideas.

It is part of the busy programme for the Friends’ 40th anniversar­y year.

LAURENCEKI­RK

Chris Longmuir and Eileen Ramsay will give a talk at an author event at Mearns Library on Tuesday October 10 from 7-9pm.

Chris, author of gritty crime books set in Dundee, and Eileen, author of Scottish historical sagas and romance novels, will speak about their books and writing.

BRECHIN

Brechin and District Floral Art Club meetings resume tomorrow at 7.30pm in the Cathedral Hall.

The demonstrat­or is Moyra Turnbull from Crieff.

ARBROATH

A coffee afternoon takes place at Andy Stewart Court tomorrow between 1.30pm and 4pm in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

KIRRIEMUIR

A coffee morning for Macmillan Cancer Support will be held in St Andrew’s Church on Saturday from 10am to noon.

There will be a home baking stall.
