Tai Chi exercise classes to begin
The Angus Tai Chi Academy will be starting more Introduction to Tai Chi classes this week.
The sessions will take place in St Cyrus on Wednesday afternoons and in Montrose on Thursday mornings.
The ancient Chinese art of Tai Chi is a gentle exercise – a sequence of slow, graceful movements that relax and strengthen both body and mind.
The Angus Tai Chi Academy teaches a style developed by Master Moy Lin-shin.
The activity is specifically aimed at cultivating health and wellbeing. Practised diligently, and in a relaxed manner, this form of Tai
Chi can increase circulation and flexibility, leading to improved health and a feeling of greater wellbeing.
The introductory classes will be held on Wednesday in St Cyrus Village Hall from 12.30pm until 1.45pm and on Thursday in Columba Hall, Market Street, Montrose, from 11.15am until 12.30pm.

An Angus nature reserve also recently began free Tai Chi sessions.
They are aimed at raising the importance of emotional wellbeing to visitors.
The classes, started by former policewoman Lindsey-anne Knox, take place at Wishing Well at the Murton reserve, Forfar.
