Luncarty pile pressure on leaders

LUNCARTY proved too strong for ARBROATH VICS with a 5-1 win maintainin­g their 100% home record to move to within two points of leaders Violet.

Goals from Kieran Donald, Dale Smart and Calum Kirkcaldy gave them a three-goal interval lead.

Rikki Gillespie pulled one back from a spot-kick on 74 minutes but Richard Doig did likewise for the hosts with five minutes left, and Donald was again on target just before the end.

KINNOULL’S winning streak was halted at COUPAR ANGUS despite the hosts finishing with 10 men.

Tom Casey put the Foxhall Park outfit in front on the stroke of halftime, but Darren Gray levelled for Kinnoull after 63 minutes.

Despite Ross Nicholson’s dismissal on 68 minutes, Casey’s second 10 minutes from time earned the home side victory.

SCONE THISTLE took all three points from Blairgowri­e after a 3-0 victory. Craig Mitchell, Charlie Fertacz and Jamie Ayton scored.

Josh Perera hit a hat-trick and Graham Allan scored two, with Sam Mcdonald and an own goal completing the Beechwood boys’ tally.

Scott Black bagged a brace for Vics, with Liam Bailey also on target.
