Community service for man who threw pint glass in pub
A Montrose man has been ordered to carry out community service after throwing a pint glass in a pub – a day after being released from prison.
At Forfar Sheriff Court, Liam Simpson, 25, of Newmanswells Avenue, admitted throwing an empty pint glass in the Lochside Bar on May 13 this year.
Police had gone to the premises after a call in relation to a separate incident when they were informed of Simpson’s behaviour. Officers consulted CCTV footage, which captured him throwing the glass.
Sheriff Jillian Martin-brown ordered Simpson to carry out 60 hours of community service, discounted from 80 hours.
