Cases at Forfar Sheriff Court

-

A drug dealer has been warned that a return to substance abuse is putting her liberty at risk.

Katarzyna Bielec, 37, of Bridge Street, Montrose, was previously placed on a community payback order after she admitted being concerned in the supply of heroin and cannabis resin in the town.

The court heard she had completed more than 100 of the 150 hours of the unpaid work imposed as part of the order, but a social work report suggested there had been a relapse in compliance due to substance misuse.

Sheriff Simon Collins continued the case until December 14 and deferred sentence on other matters.

“Things are hanging by a thread here,” he said. Also at Forfar:

Kenneth Milne, 37, of Lower Craigo Street, Montrose, was placed on a two-month high tariff deferred sentence.

He admitted stealing a £25 electric toothbrush from Semichem in Montrose High Street on July 18.

Defence solicitor Billy Rennie said: “It is fair to say that he is skating on thin ice because of his unenviable record.”

A warrant was issued for the arrest of Samuel Simpson, 29, of Mercury Terrace, St Cyrus, after he failed to appear for sentence on a charge of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner at a house in Montrose on May 3 and shouting and swearing at his ex-partner.
