Fordelhill Fascinatio­n takes top honours

Supreme championsh­ip honours at the Lanark, Biggar and Peebles Foal Show went to Scott Greenhill of Leuchars.

His home-bred junior colt foal Fordelhill Fascinatio­n is by Glebeview Sir Charles and out of the Collessie Cut Above-sired mare Fordelhill Jenny Anne.

Dorothy Combe’s senior filly foal Windyknowe Margaret May, a daughter of Dillars Top Gun, out of the Windyknowe Homer-sired mare Windyknowe Chloe, took the reserve title. She headed home later that day with new owners Paul and Matthew Bedford of Thorpe Hill, North Yorkshire.

Alan Campbell of Kilmacolm had the reserve filly foal winner, the Dillars Top Gun-sired Pacemuir Elizabeth.

Jim and Linzi Kennedy’s Hillhouse Silver Shadow took the reserve colt foal award. Silver Shadow is another by Top Gun.

Champion senior horse was Ronnie and Pete Black’s two-yearold filly Old Greenlaw Bonnie, a daughter of Great American Ben Franklin, from Collessie. Bred by the Hon Mrs H Douglas-home, Bonnie is out of Shatton Bess, a Collessie Independen­t-sired mare.

The reserve senior title was taken by David Mcgill’s Dillars Top Gun-sired yearling filly Caperhill Cleo from Ayrshire.

She is out of Caperhill Whitney, a Dillars Ideal daughter.
