Scottish trio in GB World Cup squad

Scottish pair Mark Stewart and Katie Archibald will be back in action at the next round of the Track World Cup in Canada month.

They are joined in the Great Britain squad to travel to Milton for the third round of the World Cup by fellow Scot Callum Skinner.

Archibald, who won two gold medals and a silver in Manchester at the weekend, will compete in the women’s endurance events alongside teenager Ellie Dickinson.

Dundee rider Stewart, who finished fifth in the omnium on Saturday, is in the men’s endurance squad with Ollie Wood and Chris Latham.

Olympic team sprint champion Skinner and Phil Hindes will compete in the men’s sprint events with young trio Jack Carlin, Ryan Owens and Joe Truman, with Olympic bronze medallist Katy Marchant and Sophie Capewell racing in the women’s events.

The event runs from December 1-3
