MONTROSE Montrose Old and St Andrew’s Church will be operating its Christmas card delivery service from Friday until December 15 for local areas only.
The cost is 25p per card and collection boxes are at Hogg’s on the High Street, Scotmid in Borrowfield and in the Church vestibule. All money raised goes to church funds.
AUCHENBLAE
The annual carols, candles and Christmas pies evening takes place in Auchenblae Church on Friday.
As well as the Stonehaven Bell Ringers, local musicians will entertain. Mulled wine, mince pies, shortbread and teas will be served by the ladies of Auchenblae Guild after the service.

Angus Threeway Fundraisers are holding a prize bingo in the Legion Hall in Academy Street tomorrow with eyes down at 7.30pm.
CARNOUSTIE
Rotary members were treated to an evening of quick-fire questions with Rotarian John Knox in the role of quizmaster at their latest meeting. The club meets Wednesdays at 6pm in the Station Hotel.

Eddie Wilmott spoke to Carnoustie Panbride Friendship Circle about local history over the years.
The next meeting is tomorrow at 2pm in the Newton Panbride church hall when there will be a talk on computers in today’s world by Pauline Lockhart.
MONTROSE
Retired physiotherapist Wendy Shepherd was the guest speaker at the latest meeting of Montrose Natural History and Antiquarian Society
Her talk charted her voyage from the southern tip of Argentina to Antarctica.
The next meeting is at 7.30pm on December 12 in Montrose Museum when Geoff Wilkinson of the North East Scotland Biological Records Centre will give a talk about hoverflies.
MONTROSE Montrose Old and Andrew’s Church is holding its annual Christmas fair on Saturday from 10am to noon in the church hall.
