Prime cattle in auction

Lawrie & Symington held their Christmas show and sale of 74 prime cattle, 20 OTMS and 1077 prime lambs, commercial lambs, cast ewes and rams. PRIME CATTLE: The show was sponsored by Davidsons Veterinary Supplies, A P Jess (Food Group), W Walker LLP, Autoecosse Mitsubishi, Roxan, The Courier & Ritchies and the judge was Guthrie Batchelor, Fleming Butchers, Arbroath, and his awards were as follows:

Champion of the Show was a 545kg Limousin Heifer from D. Lumgair & Sons, Gask, selling to 500ppk (£2,725) and bought by Scott Watson on behalf of a client.

Reserve Champion was a 499 kg Limousin Heifer from J.A. Peters & Son, West Bog, selling to 410ppk (£2045.90) and purchased by Scott Bros, Dundee. Best Animal Opposite Sex to Champion was a 521kg Limousin Bullock from G. Mcfadzean, Woodhead, of Mailer selling to 400ppk (£2,084) and purchased by Scott Bros, Dundee.
