Tomorrow it’s Fontrodona and Friends Christmas party with resident Max Galloway joined by Ronan Baxter of Jute City Jam, Loose Joints’ Chester and Ansata of Hilltown Disco for one last blowout before the big man comes down the chimney.

Headway and Reading Rooms Production­s welcome back Gary Beck to the small town club for a full on Boxing Day techno fest.

As a regular fixture at the world’s top clubs and festivals, Glasgow born producer and DJ Gary Beck has long been establishe­d as a primary figure in techno.

Online tickets are sold out but there’s a limited number available from Underworld Café on Perth Road priced £15.

Cherry Bombz are at The Pageant in Arbroath tomorrow at 9pm.

The pop punk group is back in Arbroath on Boxing Day for an unplugged show at St Thomas Bar from 9pm before heading to The Glens in Dundee on Thursday at the same time.

Mcdaniels has busking acoustic classics tonight from Kieron Smart at 9pm. Tomorrow it’s The DBS from 9.30pm.

Genre-jumping party starters Tripper play the sounds of the sixties through to modern classics at Clark’s on Lindsay Street tonight.

Tomorrow there’s funky grooves and party tunes from Coconut Groove.

Both start at 9.30pm with free entry before midnight.

There’s an early show on Christmas Eve with the legendary Hard Rain playing some of Bob Dylan’s greatest hits.

Boxing Day sees the return of Led Zedppelin tribute The Levee Breakers, an unashamed celebratio­n of some of the best rock music ever written.

It’s Beatles night on Wednesday as local legends Ringer and Tripper join forces for Come Together – an evening dedicated to the music of the Fab Four. Tickets are £7. Thursday’s Pre Production features local acts Model Aeroplanes, St Martiins and a.d.a.m.

Doors open at 7pm and tickets are available from the usual outlets for £10.

Westport Bar has femalefron­ted pub rock cover band Pretty Shameless tomorrow. That’s free entry from 10pm.

Dundonian rock/metal trio Breeding Indium is at Deacon Brodie’s tonight with support from Open Minded Skeptics, Veins of Carbide and Houdini Said No.

Entry is free and doors open at 7.30pm.

Tomorrow it’s Brian Doc Wound from 6pm followed by Little Miss Debby and The Scumbag Boogie Band featuring Kevin Jordan at 9pm.

There’s a Christmas Eve Blues Session with The Deal Blues Explosion at 4pm then Blueshouse from 9pm.

The Bank Bar has Barry and Nicky Lawson tonight playing acoustic classics from around 9.30pm.

Tomorrow it’s Sean Mcgouldric­k’s Spaver Connection at the same time.

Both are free entry.

Aberdeen-based mod tribute band Target 5 is at Beat Generator Live tomorrow playing classic mod revival and 60s mod tunes from The Jam, Small Faces, Lambrettas, The Who and more.
