Five residents win £1,000 each in Postcode Lottery game

Five Carnoustie residents are starting 2018 with an extra £1,000 in the bank after scooping a prize with the People’s Postcode Lottery.

The Gibson Street neighbours, who play with the postcode DD7 7JX, won the daily prize yesterday.

A minimum of 31% of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised £263 million to date for 4,000 good causes across Great Britain and internationally.

One local cause that has received funding is the Stand Easy project, which was awarded £4,000 last year to support a drama initiative for veterans.
