Drink-driver was more than four times the legal alcohol limit

A man has admitted driving while more than four times over the legal alcohol limit.

Viktoras Volodka, 44, drove a van on the A90 near Scotston, Laurencekirk, while over the limit on Wednesday.

He appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court following the offence and pleaded guilty to driving after having consumed so much alcohol that the proportion of it on his breath was 105 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath.

The legal limit is 22 microgrammes.

Sheriff Graham Buchanan deferred sentence on Volodka until next month.
