Noul set to travel to Dokens

-

Kinnoull’s fixture with Blairgowrie has been postponed due to burst pipes at Tulloch Park, so the Perth side will now travel to leaders North End.

The Dokens were scheduled to be away to Forfar Albion but Guthrie Park was clearly unplayable as early as midweek.

The home side will be trying to extend their run of 10 successive league wins and, other than Michael Stewart, have a full squad available.

The Perth side are without Tom and Greg Whyte, Jordan Davidson and keeper Macaulay Jarret, while two new signings have failed to materialise.

Violet’s visit to Coupar Angus has been switched to Glenesk Park.

New Pansies boss John Dunn saw his side in action for the first time in Tuesday’s friendly against Broughty and, despite losing 5-0, he was happy to see his players get a run out.

He said: “I was disappointed our game against Forfar Albion was postponed but we have to push on and catch North End at the top.

“The players have trained well and are in buoyant mood and are raring to go as we haven’t had a competitive game for almost two months.”

Sixth-placed Luncarty are still very much in the promotion frame and will be out to maintain an unblemished home record against an East Craigie side that has gone off the boil.

The Bleachers will have everyone available as do the Shipbuilders.

After being hit for six by leaders North End last week, Arbroath Vics have another tough fixture with the visit of Scone Thistle, who are just four points off the top.

Vics will make a late selection, while Thistle should be at full strength.

Harp are highly hopeful they will resume normal service for the visit of Brechin Vics.

Harp boss Michael Gormley has struck a deal with Celtic U17s and has signed several of their players on dual contracts.

One or two of them may be in the squad today but Sam Hodgson is still out injured, while Lee Gallacher has signed for Forfar Albion.

Gordon Ramsay has also left Harp and is in line to face his former colleagues having joined Vics, who expect to be much nearer full strength than has been the case for a long time.

Blairgowrie’s rearranged match with Forfar Albion was called off yesterday as Davie Park is unplayable.
