FORFAR:

The first Messy Church of the new year at Lowson Memorial Parish Church, Forfar, will take place on Saturday at 9.30am, for a 10am start.

Stories, songs, craftwork and games on the theme of “Jesus as the Mender” will be on offer to all ages.

MONTROSE:

The first meeting of the new session of Glaxosmith­kline retired staff associatio­n took place in the Links Hotel, where guest speaker Mr Sandy Paterson gave a talk on the stars of the silver screen.

The next meeting is a Burns lunch in the Links Hotel on Tuesday at noon for a 12.30pm start.

Entertainm­ent will be provided by A Right Couple of Charlies.

ARBROATH:

Angus Alive has announced a new show for the Webster Memorial Theatre in Arbroath.

Showtime Australia’s highly anticipate­d debut UK tour of their Michael Jackson History Show comes to the venue on Thursday May 31.

The full-scale stage production showcases Michael Jackson’s greatest hits live on stage.

Star of the show, Dantanio, was cast for the role of Michael after producers spent more than a year auditionin­g performers across the globe.

Doug Taylor, arts and events programme manager for Angus Alive, said it was a must-see event for 2018.
