Noull need win over Violet

-

Tulloch Park is the venue for the top attraction with third-placed Kinnoull entertaining Violet who are second.

The visitors have a four-point advantage with two games fewer played, illustrating just how important the three points are for the home side.

But with Kinnoull boss Alan Cameron rating the Pansies as one of the best they have met this season, he knows just how tough that will be.

After signing Mark Duigan and Grant Henderson last week, Cameron has made another loan signing bringing in Dell Newlands from Kennoway.

The Glenesk outfit have won all their games under new boss John Dunn and will be looking to extend that given they have a full squad available.

Coupar Angus were due to welcome Scone Thistle for a derby clash but Foxhall Park is unplayable so the fixture has been switched to Scone.

Thistle’s Gary Mackie is a doubt due to a knee injury, but Craig Mitchell is a definite non-starter.

Due to their lengthy injury list, the visitors delay their selection.

Forfar Albion have a full squad of 18 for the visit of Lochee Harp

And following two heavy defeats which saw the visitors ship 12 goals, Harp boss Michael Gormley will be looking for his charges to get back on track against their bottom-of-the-table hosts.

Gormley has seven players missing. Jay Smart, Mark Kelly, Sam Hodgson, James Cochrane, Sam Mcdonald and Frankie Mullen are injured while Connaire Connelly is suspended.

With Newburgh’s search for a new manager ongoing, Alan Fortune continues in that role as they welcome Blairgowrie hoping to end a run of eight games without a win.

They did, however, hold Blair to a 1-1 draw at Davie Park.

The Berrypickers are without Robbie Hood (working), Greg Mcdonald (injured) and Matt Adam and James Simpson (on holiday).

Brechin Vics host Arbroath Vics and have the same squad listed for last week’s postponed game at Blairgowrie.

Despite being injury-hit, the visitors had a convincing 4-0 win over Lochore Welfare and are only marginally better off this week so will add a couple of trialists to bolster their squad of 14.

In the South League, Crossgates have Livingston United as visitors and will be expected to maintain the promotion push.

Last week’s 6-2 win over Rosyth leaves them handily placed in fifth, six points off second but with two games in hand.

Rosyth will have a hard job to bounce back from that defeat at Humbug Park as they are away to joint-leaders Edinburgh United, 12-1 winners at Kirkcaldy YM last week. Recs rely on the same squad as last week.

With two wins from his first two games, it would be a surprise if Oakley boss Richard Fox doesn’t make it three out of three when they meet Stoneyburn at Blairwood Park.

The visitors are second bottom and have won only once on the road all season.
