College LGBT+ open evening

-

A local LGBT+ group will again this year put on an open evening for youngsters and their families.

The Revels of Angus, a partnership between Dundee and Angus College, Angus Council Communities Department and Montrose Academy, will host an evening of creative activities, nail art, canvas painting and give the chance for members to share their coming out stories.

Organiser Tatiana Zorina has continued her hard work to provide the group with a safe space where they can be themselves and get to know each other and look to address LGBT+ equality issues.

The families of group members are also invited and will be given the opportunity to share their stories with other families.

There will also be free pizza supplied by a local franchise and support from DD8 Music which is an Angus-based charity committed to supporting creativity and music making in Kirriemuir and the surrounding areas.

“DD8 Music are delighted to be supporting the open evening hosted by The Revels of Angus group, as well as promoting the group in the area.

“We are really keen that as many people as possible come along to hear about the work they have been involved in and celebrate the achievements of the group.”

The evening is being held at Dundee and Angus College in the Isla Building, Arbroath, on Monday from 6.30pm to 8pm.
