New head of hall users’ group

-

Ron Stewart has taken the helm of Brechin City Hall Users Group.

Paula Middleton, who joined the management committee two years ago and gives support with marketing and PR activities, is vice-chairwoman.

The pair step into the posts following the resignation of Kenny Christie and Graham Donald due to work commitments.

A group spokesperson said: “We would like to thank both Kenny and Graham for their commitment and support over the past two years.”

Mr Stewart said: “Like many Brechiners, our city hall is a building that is very close to my heart.

“I joined the management committee last year and I’m now delighted to take on the role of chairperson.

“It’s a challenging role but I’m very lucky to be supported by a significant number of charity trustees and members of the management committee,” he said.

“We’ve big plans for the hall and we look forward to sharing them with Brechiners in the near future.”

“The group has a number of other charity trustees as well as a management committee.

“Both comprise a small band of dedicated people who simply support us by keeping the hall clean and tidy.

“As you can imagine, she’s a big old lady to clean.

“If anyone would like to help, drop us a line to find out more on mail@brechincityhall.org.”
