MUSIC: Choir categories hit but full and vibrant brass competition goes ahead

The tail end of the ‘Beast from the East’ hit entries at the third day of the 86th Arbroath and District Music Festival.

Continuing adverse weather forced the cancellation of some transport to the Webster Memorial Theatre.

Due to safety concerns, Stagecoach could not provide bus transport for the school choirs so several schools were unable to perform. All afternoon classes were cancelled but a small number of choirs were able to compete in the morning.

A full and vibrant brass competition took place in the assembly room. Results:
