Major doubt over pitch

Brechin’s trip to Dumbarton tomorrow night is in major doubt.

Darren Dods’ side, whose game against Dundee United was called off on Saturday due to a waterlogged Glebe Park surface, are still looking for their first league victory of the season.

However, Sons boss Stephen Aitken thinks the pitch at the YOUR 103FM Stadium will not be up to it after losing 1-0 to Queen of the South on Saturday.

The glue-pot surface survived a late inspection by referee Stephen Finnie but deteriorated throughout the 90 minutes and was battle-scarred by the end.
