How fitting it is that a dog named after a canine war hero should have its own time in the spotlight. Sprocker spaniel Antis, from Kirriemuir, features in a film about his predecessor’s wartime derring-do.

The original guided people to safety through machinegun fire. After filming, his modern-day Bravehound equivalent is back to the “day job” of helping his army veteran master recover from PTSD.

He is no less remarkable than his namesake.
