Driver cut from vehicle after crash

Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle crash near Swirlburn, on the Arbroath to Carmyllie road, last night. The collision occurred at the junction to Redford. Both vehicles suffered extensive damage. One driver was trapped in his vehicle and had to be cut free.

The incident, which involved a Ford van and a Citroen car, closed the road for several hours as police carried out an investigation into the crash.
