Residents to be updated on new Angus Care Model plans
Angus residents will be given an update on how plans are developing for a new Angus Care Model to deliver health and social care in the future.
Public information sessions will take place across the county next week.
The drop in events, organised by Angus Health and Social Care Partnership, will give people the chance to chat to staff about local services and hear how plans are progressing.
The sessions follow on from events held in October and November last year.
In January this year, the Integration Joint Board (IJB) for Angus Health and Social Care Partnership agreed to move forward with plans to create the Angus Care Model that will see the redesign of inpatient care, the minor injury and illness and out-of-hours services and care home provision.
Vicky Irons, chief officer for Angus Health and Social Care Partnership, said: “I would encourage people to come along to these sessions and hear how our plans are progressing for the development of the Angus Care Model.
“Staff will be on hand to explain how services will look in the future and answer any questions or concerns people may have.”
The public information sessions will start on Monday March 19, from 5-7pm, at Whitehills Health and Community Care Centre, Lintrathen Room, Station Road, Forfar.
It will then move on Tuesday March 20, from 2-4pm, to the Kinloch Care Centre, Kinloch Street, Carnoustie; before Friday March 23, 2-4pm, Angus Carers Centre, 8 Grant Road, Arbroath; and Tuesday March 27, 10am-noon, Brechin Community Campus, Duke Street, Brechin.
