FORFAR

Forfar OAP Associatio­n is hosting a prize bingo in the OAP Hall on Chapel Street tomorrow.

Doors open at 1pm with eyes down at 1.30.

Entry costs £1 and includes afternoon tea.

LUNANHEAD Lunanhead hall and parks committee is holding a coffee morning in the village hall, Lunanhead, by Forfar, tomorrow between 10am and 1.30pm.

Stalls will include cake and candy, tombola and bric-a-brac, and there will be soup and rolls and a raffle.

MONTROSE

Ron Scrimgeour was the speaker at the GSK Retired Staff Associatio­n Montrose branch meeting in the Links Hotel.

He gave a talk on the work of the weavers in Angus.

The next meeting is in the Links Hotel at 2pm on Tuesday when Paul Morgan of Tayside Police Mountain Rescue will be the guest.

MENMUIR

Fern, Careston and Menmuir Church is holding a concert in Menmuir hall on Friday March 30 at 7.30pm with music by Lochnagar.

There will also be a quiz and whisky trail.

Entry is £7 and free to school children.

Tea, coffee and a buffet will be provided.

ARBROATH

The Macular Society has organised a sight-loss awareness event on Wednesday March 28 from 10.30am to 12.30pm at Arbroath Library.
