Woman to face trial accused of throwing bag of dog mess at man
A woman is to face trial on a charge of assaulting a male by throwing a bag of dog mess at him.
Michelle Brown, 41, of Mayfield Terrace, Arbroath, has denied the allegation of throwing the bag of faeces at the man on St Ninian’s Road on February 8.
Brown did not appear when the case called before Sheriff Gregor Murray at Forfar, but had tendered a letter plea of not guilty via her solicitor.
Trial was set for June, with an intermediate diet in the matter on May 15.
Also at Forfar:
Lisa Anderson, 37, of Graham Crescent, Forfar, was ordered to appear personally in court after admitting road traffic offences.
She pled guilty by letter to driving in various Forfar streets on January 29 while disqualified and without insurance.
Sentence was deferred until April 26.
Brian Smith, 44, of Paterson Place, Montrose, was fined £100, having previously admitted breaching the peace on May 6 last year by repeatedly telephoning his ex-partner and threatening her and her family.
Sentence was previously deferred on two occasions for Smith to be of good behaviour.
Defence solicitor Billy Rennie said there were no outstanding matters involving the accused and the woman.
A warrant was issued for the arrest of a former Angus man who failed to appear for sentencing after a supermarket offence.
Aaron Bradley, 23, of Doncaster and previously of Newton Crescent, Arbroath, had earlier admitted behaving in a threatening manner at the Co-op, Arbirlot Road, on October 5 and throwing a bottle of cider.
