Tayport seek revenge over leaders

-

Game of the day in the Premier League is at the Canniepairt as Tayport take on leaders Musselburgh.

Port boss Charlie King will be looking for revenge after the 6-2 defeat at Olivebank as his side look to gatecrash the promotion fight.

Tayport are able to welcome back Stewart Mcconnachie but will be without suspended Ryan Suttie as well as Jamie Mackie and Alan Tulleth.

Downfield have a chance to build on last week’s home win over St Andrews United as they entertain Dunbar United at Downfield Park.

The visitors are in fourth place with a chance of promotion but Paul Marr’s side’s recent good form gives them a decent chance.

The Spiders are without long-term injured Calvin Colquhoun and Phil Hagen, while Charlie Cargill suffered a recurrence of his hamstring injury last weekend.

Kirriemuir Thistle face a tough ask at promotion-chasing Fauldhouse United.

The Lothian side are in seventh place but have plenty of games in hand on the teams above them.

Last weekend saw Thistle lose out to a late Arniston goal so they will have to pick themselves up for this game.

Kirrie have the same squad available, minus the suspended Jonny Snowdon.

St Andrews United should have enough points on the board to avoid getting dragged into the relegation battle but they have played a lot more games than the teams below them – Whitburn have seven in hand, Glenrothes eight and Arniston six.

Caretaker managers Scott Wallace and Scott Lawrie were pleased with the fightback at Downfield last time out and will be looking for the same effort as they welcome Dalkeith Thistle to Barnetts Park.

Scott Orrock and Ryan Mcinnes are suspended.
