Today’s league visit to Glasgow could make or break their title challenge as hosts Clydesdale Western sit second in the table and go into the clash holding a single-point advantage, but with a game more played.

The outcome appears academic, however, as defending champions Edinburgh University are bankers for three more points on the board against Grange and seem unlikely to drop the ball in a final canter to the line.

Tomorrow’s Scottish Cup semi-final at DISC against Wildcats should set up the Broughty Ferry outfit for another crack at national silverware.

Sticking with the various Scottish Cup competitions, Grove’s second string welcome Edinburgh University II in the earlier slot at DISC, while Midland champions Madras FP can advance to the District Cup final by seeing off visitors Edinburgh Uni IVS.
