A woman slips away from a Jane Austen re-enactment in full costume, only to be stabbed to death in the woods - her murder being recorded by a camera drone.

BBC Young Musician 2018 Grand Final (BBC4, 7pm-9.30pm)

Clemency Burton-hill and Josie d’arby present the climax of the musical contest from Birmingham’s Symphony Hall, joined by 1998 winner Alison Balsom. The three finalists must each perform a full concerto alongside the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. thecourier­magazine awards include Joe Cole, Thandie Newton, Claire Foy, Molly Windsor Brian F O’bryan, Anna Friel, Julie Hesmondhal­gh, Samson Kayo, Anupam Kher, Jack Rowan and Sandi Toksvig. John Motson, will receive the BAFTA Special Award in recognitio­n of his outstandin­g contributi­on to sports broadcasti­ng.

Burma with Simon Reeve

Part one of a two-part documentar­y exploring the country in the aftermath of the recent humanitari­an crisis in which thousands of Rohingya Muslims were driven from their homes by the military. Simon visits Burma’s Buddhist heartlands, including the ancient capital of Bagan.
