Highland – Donald Macnaughto­n, Kelty, with fiveyear-old cow, Skye of Rannoch by Fergus of Bute and out of Skye 2nd of Rannoch. Champion at Balnabroic­h in 2017. Reserve – Hamish Irvine, Dunfermlin­e, with yearling heifer, Millie Dhubh 2nd of Craiglusca­r.

Blonde d’aquitaine –JH Campbell, Linlithgow, with 15-month-old bull, Forthview Nemo by Freefield E-tay and out of Forthview Jemma. Reserve – Kyle Laird and Son, Coaltown of Wemys, with two-year-old heifer, Lochhead Miss Mutch by Gala Earthquake and out of Whitefield Freya.

Limousin – John Thomson, Kelty, with seven-year-old cow, Beath Fantastic by Goldies Crackerjac­k and out of Normandy Vantastic, shown with seven-week-old calf at foot. Champion at Fife and West Fife in 2017. Reserve – Andrew Orr with heifer, Lomond Nikki by Trueman Jagger and out of Spittalton Hona.

British Blue – Gillian Scott, Linlithgow, with two-year-old heifer, Drumloan Lindsay by Twining Ashvaughan and out of Tweeddale Illapa, champion of champions at West Fife in 2017. Reserve – Robert Paterson, Dunblane, with three-year-old bull, Sandyvale Jagerbomb by Auchenlay Coll and out of Tamhorn Flowergirl. Male champion at RHS in 2017.

Simmental – MJ & AM Mill, Cardenden, with two-year-old bull, Shawsmill Hugo by Dargill Emperor and out of Shawsmill Wednesday, and reserve with yearling heifer, Shawsmill Iza by Dargill Emperor and out of Shawsmill Eva.

Commercial – Gillian Scott, Linlithgow, with 17-month-old Limousin cross heifer, Dooda by Melbrake Hero. Reserve – Wilson Peters, Gilmerton, with 19-month-old Limousin cross heifer, Cheeky Kiss, reserve champion at Fife.

Dairy – Jim and Isobel Wilson, Carskerdo, Cupar, with three-year-old Holstein cow, Witherslac­k Mincio Joanne by Bertaiola Mincio ET and out of W Lauthority Joanne 2, calved in January and milking 48 litres, and reserve with six-year-old cow, Lieu Thomain Heliot by Eliloz Dkr ET and out of Lieu Thomain Doreth. Champion of champions at Fife.

Beef young handlers – Beth Thomson. Reserve – Louis Wainwright.

Clydesdale – Thomas Clark and Sons, Madderty, with yearling filly, Muirton Margo by Muirton Sabre and out of Muirton Myra. Reserve – Charlotte Young, Ayr, with two-year-old filly Glebeview Izzy by Glebeview Sir Charles and out of Glebeview Cassy. Champion at Drymen, Neilston and Dundonald. Blue Faced Leicester – Craig and Katrine Malone, Cardenden, with an April-born ewe lamb by a home-bred son of 14,000gns Redgate Jackpot and reserve with a home-bred tup which was reserve interbreed sheep champion at Kinross in 2017.

Suffolk – Stewart Lathangie, Pyeston, Star, Glenrothes, with one-crop ewe by Muirton One Direction and reserve with a tup lamb by Limestone Legacy.

Texel – David Mckerrow, Freuchie, with a gimmer by Knock Yankee and out of a ewe by Ettrick You’re a Winner. A full ET sister to the 2017 Great Yorkshire Show champion. Interbreed champion at Fife. Reserve – Robin Orr, Halbeath Farm, with a two-shear tup, Peacehay You Belter, bought in a partnershi­p deal at Worcester in 2017 for 23,000gns.

Zwartbles – Kaleem Shaikh, Uddingston, with a January-born ewe lamb by Croy Eddie and out of Winnow Bonbon. Reserve champion at Drymen. Reserve – Lorraine Russell, Kingskettl­e, with a January-born tup lamb, Kembla Fearghas by Tardoes Evoque.

Shetland – Andrew Bain, Tranent, with a white ram, Greenacre Merlin by Greenacre Gregor and out of St Baldric’s Juliet. Champion at Haddington, Kelso and Duns in 2017. Reserve – Rena Douglas, Cedar Cottage, Craigrothi­e, with a fawn kat muget colored ewe, Jolene of Cockcairne­y by Brae Gilliver and out of Gigha of Cockcairne­y.

Cross or half-bred – James Orr, Cupar, with a Februarybo­rn three-quarter-bred Texel ewe lamb by a Milnbank sire and reserve with a threequart­ers-bred Texel gimmer by an Easterseat sire, reserve champion at RHS 2017.

Any other pure sheep breed – Euan Mill with a Border Leicester gimmer bought at Lanark. Reserve – Allan Grant, Anstruther, with a two-crop Border Leicester ewe bought from Neil Howie at Carlisle. Champion at Perth in 2017.

Butchers lambs – James Orr with a February-born threequart­ers-bred Texel. One of the pair which was champion at Fife. Reserve – John Messenger, Abernethy, with three threequart­ers-texel bred lambs.

Sheep young handlers – Euan Mill. Reserve – Kieran Mcintyre.

Goats – The Campbell family, Torphichen, Bathgate, with British AOV third-kidder, Lovesglen Donner by Ladeside Carrick and out of Lovesglen Comet, champion at Perth in 2017. Reserve – Avril Garrett, Duncreivie with a two-year-old Golden Guernsey in milk, Lisean Rhapsody by Bendholm Evo and out of Lisean Aria.
