Library events to mark 60th birthday of Paddington Bear

Angus libraries are getting ready to celebrate Paddington Bear’s 60th birthday.

Children will get the chance to listen to the story of Paddington, find the missing items from his suitcase and enjoy his favourite marmalade sandwiches.

The first event takes place at Brechin Library in St Ninians Square on Monday June 18, from 4pm-5pm.

On Saturday June 23, Kirriemuir Library will host an event from 11am-noon while Carnoustie Library’s event takes place from 2pm3pm the same day.

There will also be events on Monday June 23 at Monifieth Library (4pm-5pm), Arbroath Library (4.15pm-5.15pm), Montrose Library (5.45pm-6.45pm), and Forfar Library (5.45pm-6.45pm). Children attending should be five and over.
